I am in the process of building a shopify app but I figure I would ask around first before diving in.
Would you pay for a shopify app that generates warm leads that are asking for modest discount, such as 20% off or free shipping? Of course if you do provide the discount or free shipping it should push the purchase decision over the edge.

Yes definitely, the user will pay for the app that generates warms leads no matter whether they have to give a discount or offer free shipping.
As long as the app adds value to the user experience, the business will benefit from it and the incremental revenue generated will pay for the app itself.
Discounts and giveaways play a major role in a buyer’s decision to buy but the app must deliver value.
