What's the best budget-friendly inventory management app for small businesses?

I'm looking for an app that basically keeps track of all the nuts and bolts of our product. I would like to enter in my current inventory and when I fulfill an order on Shopify I'd like the app to automatically deduct all the parts required for said order.  On top of that, while I'm fine with manually updating when we add inventory, it would be nice if the app could link to our supplier's pages for ease of purchasing.

We currently do this on an excel file, the main benefit I'm looking for is moving everything to one place (Shopify) so that my whole team can access and manage.

Also, I'm looking for something cheap or free. We have around 15-25 Items to manage.

Can any of yall give me some guidance?

Good afternoon,

I'd like the app to automatically deduct all the parts required for said order.
> Can you elaborate more about what you mean by all the parts required?

At the basic level our product packages are all assembled using the same components. Bolts, washers, boards, climbing hangers, fastners, and padding.  Some product packages will have varible items depeneding on what the customer chooses such as straps and rope, one package even includeds apparel.

I want to inventory these components and have those vaules interface with orders that we fullfill.

I think you might be able to do that with this https://apps.shopify.com/variant-swatch-king

Hey!

Your problem is one of the basic ones that MRPeasy solves. It allows you to create Bills of Materials for your products so that whenever an order comes in, the system automatically calculates what is going to be needed to fulfill the order, and how long it will take to complete it. You can automatically create manufacturing orders and book items needed to build the product from your available inventory, or, in case you have depleted your parts inventory, the system can also prompt a purchase order.

Of course, the system does so much more, so if you are planning on growing your business (and I bet you are), you can keep relying on that same system to deliver the functionalities you need. It has modules for CRM, production planning and scheduling, inventory management, procurement, worker activity reporting, and finance.

The subscription fee is $49/month for the basic plan (that will definitely cover your needs right now), with the option to gradually upgrade as needed.

Hope that helps!

Hi @Skillzboard ,

If you are comfortable in Excel you can use Mixtable's Excel-like spreadsheet interface to directly update your Shopify product inventory in bulk. You can have all your variants and their inventory in a worksheet that syncs to Shopify, and use a separate worksheet to track the parts inventory. You can then use the familiar VLOOKUP/INDEX+MATCH formulas to update the variants inventory based on the parts they contain.
