Approval System

We are looking for an approval system for orders. Currently, customers are required to enter VIN numbers before they checkout from our store. Once their order is placed, our partner goes through and verifies the customer's VIN numbers and either approves or cancels the order. Once approved, we produce, pull, and ship out the orders.

However, we are now working with an outside production team that needs daily reports of all approved orders. Our original idea was to use custom tags to mark orders approved (tag would be "Approved {Today's Date}") But we are worried that if the tag is not spelled exactly the same each day, we will miss an order being added to our custom report.

We are looking for an approval app that would allow us to easily mark orders approved and sort through the orders by their approval date. If anyone needs further details, has other ideas, or any questions, please let us know!

Thanks for your help!

This is an accepted solution.

Hello

If you need a simple app that syncs your order #'s date created and an internal status like "approved" we can help you. You can even make it so you can change the status as well. It would all be internal so you can export the report however you like.

Hey @PTMarketing1!

Have you checked out Parabola? Shopify store owners use us to automate things exactly like what you're looking for. In Parabola, you would be able to automatically pull in your day's orders that are tagged as "Approved" and append the current date to the tag automatically. If you'd like some help getting set up, just let me know!

That would imply the merchant would have to add the tag to the order in the first place.

True, maybe I misread @PTMarketing1's post, but with Parabola, you can also auto-tag orders by importing your full order data, including tags, and insert an "Approved {Date}" tag to the order!
