Best selling products "widgets" for blog pages?

Hello,

Is there any app that can show products (best sellers or similar) in blog post pages?

My theme doesn't have that option, and I would like to find a way to promote products in my blog posts.

Thanks!

Enrique

Hey, Enrique!

Aria here, I'm on the Social Care team at Shopify.

The Related Products & Blogs can put a related products widget on your blog page and can also promote your blog on your product page. This can potentially improve your ranking on Google through products & blog posts synchronization. There are other product widget apps in our app store that could be customized for the blog page but this one seems most relevant for what you need.

I love that you're creating a blog for your store. It adds value beyond the product and can help drive traffic to your store. Have you thought about the different types of content you want to include? It's great to include your products of course but depending on what you are selling, it can be beneficial to include some of the following:

  • How-to guides
  • News related to your niche
  • A gift buying guide or list (particularly useful in the run-up to a national holiday or event)
  • An interview with someone relevant to your niche

You may gain some inspiration from these Shopify blog posts:

What other plans do you have for promoting your store and keeping your audience interested?

Thanks Aria for your quick reply. I really appreciate your input.

Nevertheless the app looks ugly, basic and expensive for just displaying a list of products. I guess I will have to code myself that feature in my site.

Hey, Enrique!

I understand where you're coming from.

I actually thought of another option for you that wouldn't cost anything. You could install the Shopify Buy Button on your blog. It's already included in the cost of your plan. This would be a more simple solution. You can use the Buy Button to install a single product or a collection of products. You could do a Best Sellers collection or create one specific to the blog topic.

Let me know if that works for you.

Hey, @nathalienasr!

Are you using the Buy Button or the app? Can I please have your store URL so I can take a look?

Thank you.

Thank you for clarifying. It's difficult for me to understand what is going on when I can't see it but you should be able to embed a collection rather than individual products so that they appear beside each other instead of underneath. You can find out more about how the Buy Button works in this guide

Let me know how you get on.
