Yes, you can use multiple dropshipping, or print on demand companies on your store. In order to account for the different shipping rates between suppliers, the first thing you’ll need to make sure is set correctly is the ‘Inventory managed by’ on your products (see screenshot below). This is found in the Inventory section on each of your products listed in Products in your admin. Assigning the supplier to their corresponding products helps automate the ordering process, but is also what allows you to set up separate shipping profiles for each supplier.
Next, there are a few strategies to consider when deciding on the right shipping settings for your store:
- Use the suppliers calculated rates for apps that have shipping integrations. The supplier’s calculated rates provide the most accurate rates to your customers and also avoids any over or under charging for shipping. To use the suppliers rates, Carrier Calculated Shipping needs to be enabled on your account; See this Community topic for how to add it to your plan. - The second option for shipping is to set up flat rates. These settings don’t require any other shipping functionalities being added to your account and would charge a set dollar value for shipping. We have a Help Doc here that walks you through how to set up flat shipping rates.
- Offer free shipping. This can be a good option to help with conversions, just remember to build the price of shipping into your product prices so that you don’t end up cutting into your bottom line.
