Customer updated email, Shopsync added them as a new contact to Mailchimp, so two profiles now. Fix?

Hi all. One of my best longtime customers updated his email in his Shopify account. Shopsync added him as a new contact with the new email on Mailchimp, so now I can't update his email on his pre-existing profile which has all his stats. Any suggestions?

Looks like all I can do is archive the older profile. What a shame.
