Do I have to keep track of the trial period?

Hi, 

 

I am unable to find a definitive answer on this. There are two posts that I found with conflicting answers. So, I was hoping to clarify it properly. 

 

In case a Recurring payment is activated with a trial period of n days, and the app is uninstalled and then reinstalled, do I need to keep track of the remaining trial days or will Shopify do it for me - when a new Recurring payment is activated?
