In need of a very much custom draft order from scratch with manually entered products and customers. Basically, I need to extend the current Draft Order functionality.
Fact: When creating a draft order a variant_id is needed. https://help.shopify.com/en/api/reference/orders/draftorder#create-2019-07
1. Is it possible to add a product as a custom line item?
2. Is it possible to add a custom variant to a custom line item as a text field and still be able to create a draft order?
3. Do I necessarily have to have a customer selected prior to creating a draft order? or could I create a customer as part of entering a draft order?
Thanks in advance,
Hey, not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I built an app that helps you create Draft Orders from Abandoned Checkouts with 1 click. We do support variants.
Happy to chat more if you think it could be helpful.
Hey. If you are still looking for a solution to this take a look at how our app, AirPower, enables you to create draft orders from Airtable. You can see the sample Airtable base to do this here, and we have a help article on how to set this up - How to create draft orders from Airtable . You can sync any number of fields, including custom variants quite easily.
