Enable customers to upload custom text that shows up in their shopping cart

I am pretty new to shopify. I have found several apps that allow customers to upload images that show up in the shopping cart but it seems like there are no apps that just allow customers to upload text that shows up in their shopping cart before they order. Is that the case?

Uploading text does is resembles to add an extra note on the cart page?

If it's so then, Shopify by default gives an option called cart notes which you need to enable it from the Shopify backend customize section. 

So, the customers will get an option to add the notes on the cart page and then this will be carried to the checkout and then to orders.

Interesting, thanks for the idea. I am actually looking for them to be able to fill out a form as the add the product to their cart. And the form should be specific to each type of product. Is that possible? I would want them to be able to answer multiple questions.

Hi, I believe you are referring to “properties” field of each product form? You can add an input as the following to the product page:

<input type=“text” name=“properties[Custom Text]”>

Then, customers will be able to provide custom texts as they add the product to cart and will be able to see the custom texts at checkout page for each product.
