Hi all

So, we've had the shop page installed on our facebook page but no matter how many times I change the collection order, it never shows correctly! Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

Amy

Hi Amy,

My name is Ardiane, a Guru here at Shopify!

Unfortunately, rearranging collections for the Facebook shop tab on your Shopify admin can't be done at the moment. If you have a look at this doc, you can see common FAQs regarding the Facebook store.

However, I can put this in for you as a feature request for our developers to review and maybe make it possible in the future!

Oh, very strange. So why does it allow you to re-arrange the collections here if it doesn't actually reflect on the facebook store page?

Hi Amy,

I've had a look at that collection re-arrange symbol on the left-hand side, I've tried to re-arrange the collections and have clicked on 'Publish Changes.' There was a banner at the bottom of the page that said that Facebook will change it momentarily. We could definitely try this and see in the next 24 hours to see if it changes. :)

Hiya

That's what I've tried and it doesn't change it, unless I have to wait 24 hours for it to take effect. I'll check on it tomorrow too, thanks

Amy

Hey folks......in December 2019 we are still having the SAME issue......ordering of Collections in FB Shop from Shopify Admin. After nearly 5 years, surely there should have been a resolution or solution? Is there a way to do it from FB admin? Help please........ cheers, Roy

I agree. I have the same issue. Very frustrating! One of the reasons I went with Shopify was because it seemed to be a Facebook-preferred partner and I wanted more control and I wanted to get off Etsy's overcrowded platform. Plus I own my own domain. No reason for one platform to have sole discretion to shut down my business on a whim. No thanks. So due to that, Shopify seemed like such a great solution. Alas....
Other downsides:

-Shopify's proprietary coding system "liquid" - designed to help people sell you themes, rather than just use a more accessible coding language so that you can do it yourself.

-Shopify's advertising of all its functionality, but then you have to pay extra for all these apps to get much of it. It's like an Apple App store wannabe. That drives me bonkers!

If anyone gets a solution to this, I'm ALL EARS!
