Hi, @Glendi1987

Rae from Shopify here. Thanks for reaching out with this question regarding your Facebook account, and welcome to the Shopify Community.

To confirm, is this error message appearing directly in the 'Facebook' section of your Shopify admin, or is this showing up on Facebook's end? So that I can help look into this further, can you please send me a screenshot of this error message?

In the meantime though, there are a few troubleshooting steps that I recommend taking:

  1. Please ensure that on your Facebook business page under 'Settings > Page Roles', your account is appearing as an 'Admin', and not a 'Custom' page role. If you need to switch your role to an 'Admin' role, please follow these steps
  2. Your Facebook business page should also be set up to use the 'Shopping' template in the 'Settings > Templates and Tabs' section on your Facebook business page directly. You can edit and change your page template by following the steps outlined here
  3. Additionally, in the 'Settings > Templates and Tabs' section, it's important to add a 'Shop' tab to your page by following these steps

Once you've completed these steps, please let me know if the error message is still appearing. If it is, just reply back to me here with a screenshot of this error and I can certainly help provide more assistance.

I look forward to hearing back from you about this!

Hi Rae,

I am having the exact same issue.

I have followed all the steps your have listed- the first 2 steps I already had in place. Although, when I follow the correct procedure for step 3, there is not option to add a shops tab. All other tabs are there, but no shops tab is possible. How should I proceed?

Sorry, I should add- everything is good to go, set up properly, I have my catalogue there and all accounts linked, although I get this message that my catalogue can't be published:

'Your shop can't be published
After reviewing your commerce account, we found that it doesn't follow our Merchant Agreement so your shop isn't visible to potential customers. You can contact support for more information.'

I have triple checked everything but im not sure what I am missing.

Hi, @Anna47

Thanks for joining this thread. I'm happy to help out!

Is this error showing up in your Shopify admin, or on Facebook?

Based on the text in the error message, it looks like this is tied to Facebook's Merchant Agreement, and that contacting their support may help resolve things. With this in mind, have you had a chance to speak with Facebook about this yet? If not, I recommend reaching out to them via their Business Help Center

Please keep me posted on how this goes, and any advice Facebook provides. These details may help other merchants who are running into the same issue, so sharing any information here will be really helpful.

Thanks!
