HELP! Multivendor Shipping calculation issues and we go live in two hours!

Please help! Our vendors shipping rates aren't being properly calculated and we get an 'unable to ship to this address' on every single cart. 

I've rolled back theme changes to the last time I believe the cart was properly functioning - and still have issues.

I understand you're flustered, but providing as much information as possible is crucial in allowing us to provide you with any useful feedback. Starting with the Website URL and any background info we can't necessarily infer from looking at the site. (Theme, Apps, etc.)

Hey @HoosierArtisan,

Without seeing your shipping settings, it's very difficult to diagnose why rates aren't appearing. Are you able to attach screenshots of your shipping configuration per shipping profile? If you're using locations for your vendors, those screenshots help, too. Seeing the frontend of your store doesn't give much context about why rates aren't appearing. 

It sounds like you may also be using a third-party shipping app. Have you tried reaching out directly to their support team to see if they can assist? 

If you contact Shopify directly, they can sometimes take a closer look at your configuration.

It's related to forcing a customer to choose a country on the product page. The box to select the country is below the description, I think it's actually supposed to have the add to cart button inside it. But we also have vendors with a local pickup option that creates a selector of delivery or pick up as well. 

Basically don't want shipping to calculate until the cart - but need buyer to be able to choose delivery or pick up. We've got a standard zone wise shipping set up for all vendors - they just edit the ranges and price.

And shipping is through the multivendor app by Webk*l - so shopify hasn't been able to help.

@HoosierArtisan,

Have you reached out to this app developer for assistance? Without seeing your shipping configuration and the backend of your store, it's virtually impossible to diagnose what is causing this to happen. This app dev can request access to your store again, and since they created the app, their team should be able to pinpoint what is causing this.

@HoosierArtisan there's really not much that the community can do, unfortunately. If a third-party deployed code in your store, they're the ones who know what each line of code is for and how it interacts with the platform. 

Do you have third-party carrier calculated rates enabled in your store? Their most recent review states this "To organise some categories as the shipping method you must have a Shopify Plus Plan, or pay extra $ to Shopify every month.". If they are the ones interacting with your shipping settings, they are considered a third-party carrier by Shopify. If you are on the Basic or Shopify plan, you will need to add this feature for either $20/mo or you can get it for free by switching to annual billing and also save 10% on your Shopify subscription. 

To check if you have this feature, if you head to Settings > Shipping & Delivery > scroll all the way to the bottom to 'Accounts & Integrations > Click 'Manage Integrations'. There should be a notification box saying that you don't have third-party carrier rates. You have to contact Shopify directly to get it added. I'm not sure if this is the issue that is causing this for you, but it's worth a shot to check it out.

Yes, we've set up for third party calculated shipping.

Testing of cart on Monday was successful.

Developer added code that was supposed to show the vendors shipping ranges to the page but instead added a restriction and country selector that is separate from the add to cart button and below the description so buyers don't always see it when adding to the cart. and then get a seller cannot ship to your location message.

Megan,

your supplier/developer should be liable for their code to not ruin your shopping experience. Have you been able to reach them? It would be risky and not more than stabbing in the dark, without much of the code history. Do you know what modifications the developer made, after the store was in working condition? Do you have any recent copies of the modified theme?
