HP Wallart integration with Shopify

Can anyone provide a solution to integrating HP Wallart (https://www.hpwallart.com/) with Shopify? I may have to go the route of creating an app but I'm not 100% sure how to accomplish this. I have basic app creating knowledge using ruby on rails. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
