Hello, we are trying to set up a quantity bundle of a product as a variant. I have found many apps that do this and keep track of inventory very well. Our issue is that the final order actually needs to state the SKU of the individual product and how many it will need to fulfill.
For example our single product is SKU 12345. And our variation would be 4 of those. The apps I have tried for bundles/kits require a unique SKU for that, so I will use something like 12345-4. But when the order is placed we need the line item to actually just be SKU 12345 with a quantity of 4, not SKU 12345-4 w/ qty 1. This is so that the report we generate for fulfillment are correct for the automations they have setup.
If needed we use Report Pundit for our generated reports.
Thanks In Advance!
Can you share the store URL? Are you using the Bundle app just for making bundles of the same products with different quantities? If that's the case there could be a simpler solution. Please get in touch firstname.lastname@example.org
We are using Trunk to link the individual items to the bundled variant. The store I am testing this on is a development store right now https://icpdirect-staging.myshopify.com.
Any way you could share the "simpler" solution here rather than via email? I have been searching for this functionality for a bit, and there seems to be a number of other threads on here that are similar, but again have no answers.
You can try the PickyStory app, it allows you to bundle products together with multi variants for each product so the shopper can choose what variant to pick and also he's able to determine the quantity. The app treats the bundled products as individual products in your cart and reporting. It's also auto-inserted to page and very easy to customize.
I hope this helps!
Hi Goodthree team!
We recently launched Simple Bundles that allows you to see which SKUs were sold as part of a bundle. This way, you can track each SKU individually and also use the info for picking and packing.
So for your example with a single product x 4, you would see this as 5 line items (1:bundle SKU + 4:bundled products).
Try it out if you're interested and let me know if you have any questions! Would love to hear any feedback so we can continue to make improvements and add features. Hope this helps!
