My organization is ready to present its app for Shopify Certification. The app is ready to be deployed to the PROD environment. However, the organization's load balancer/app firewall is not setup yet as the true PROD deployment is scheduled for a later date. There are two options that the organization would like the Shopify team to advise on – • Option 1 –The direct Azure based PROD URL can be submitted for Shopify Certification on the organization's domain without the load balancer/frontdoor components in play. This would mean that when the actual PROD deployment happens the DNS and IP for the app will change. • Option 2 – A temporary Azure based PROD URL can be submitted for Shopify Certification on a separate domain with the load balancer/frontdoor components in play. This would mean that when the actual PROD deployment happens only the DNS for the app will change. In both options, the DNS will change from the one that is being submitted for certification. Option 2 preserves the IP intact.
Questions: 1. Does the Shopify forum here sees issues with either of these options being used to present the app for certification? 2. If there are no concerns with how the organization is planning to present the app for certification, which of the two options would Shopify forum here advise my organization to proceed with?
