I´m looking for a simple referral or trackingsystem for different partners, which will link in to our products.
And by simple I mean Simple.
Don´t have to be given any deals or anything. Just track how many visitors the different affiliates will forward to our store.
Any tipses on any great, free systems ?
I dont want it to be taken commission from our sales since it´s a music shop, and we get very limited revenues on our sales.
Any advices ?
Generally most stores (and Shopify ourselves) are using Google Analytics to find this data. If your partners link to you using campaign tracking ( https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033867?hl=en ) this will all be recorded separately (per partner, per sale) within Google Analytics.
Shopify will also show the referring URL for sales on the order page. Here is an example of that link: http://take.ms/Iw39W which shows that this customer arrived from a google search.
Google analytics will open up even more information about that transaction and is the best free (and super-powerful) way to get tracking done.
There are also many great tutorials online for setting up this type of tracking (for your partners). For our side, and your specific setup, you will need to get GA installed this way, if it is not setup already http://docs.shopify.com/manual/settings/general/google-analytics

Where will I find these number in Google Analytics after it has been tracked for a while?
You got it, the tracking URL can be as complex or as simple as you need.
The ref1 will be located under Acquisicion > Campaigns if I recall correctly. Basically adding a tag allows Analytics to group these visitors a bit differently, and show detailed information about how those referred customers behave (ie, bounce rate from ref1, vs bounce rate for ref2, or total visit time between sources).
After a day or two the links should begin tracking as intended. One other "gotcha" that I've learned about Google Analytics is its best to plan the names in advance.
If you plan to do an Adwords, Facebook and Magazine ad campagn this fall plan for these tracking codes now. They won't be used, but its always good to have a predetermined naming scheme for all your links. Ref1, or ref452 may be a bit hard to remember in a year or two :-)
