For reference, here's the post that Mailchimp put up with their take on why they're leaving the platform: https://mailchimp.com/shopify-statement/

They make some interesting points.

Hey Walter!

Maybe check out Automate.io for its MailChimp & Shopify integration?

https://automate.io/integration/mailchimp/shopify

They do have plans to get started for free :)

Considering that our Founders came from the mailing space and know it intimately, I can tell you that our tool was built with love in San Diego with a laser focus on engagement. "Done For You' migration services, 24/7 customer support (from a real person in our office, not a bot), an Account Management team full of email marketing wizards, and a Compliance team that won't just flag you when you don't inbox, but work with you to understand WHY (benefit to having a direct line of sight over our delivery). Does this sound like it would fill your tummy, @JGQuiroz?

I guess the easiest option is to switch to Omnisend, they have the same integrations and you can use them for free.
They are also offering 30% off for 3 months: OMNI30X3

Here's more info:

Mr. Arigato is a great substitute for the native Mailchimp app. It's fully aware of all Shopify data and is more powerful than the original Mailchimp app.

Search our Workflow Library for "Subscribe new customers who accept marketing to your Mailchimp list". To get started with a prebuilt workflow.

Well, this is certainly very interesting.

Our app Recapture (https://apps.shopify.com/recapture-abandoned-cart-and-email-marketing) allows Shopify merchants to continue to integrate with MailChimp if they want, not relying on Shopify's integration at all.  For those that want to continue to capture emails and send newsletters or other automations, we can help with that.

But if you want to move off them, we support a lot of what MailChimp tries to do now:  abandoned cart flows, review reminders, email popups and winback emails.  Not as heavy as Klaviyo.  Friendly for non-technical users.

That's probably the real answer we'll see as Shopify merchants and partners 12 months from now. Shopify acquires or builds its own email marketing tool as a native integration. However, its hard to displace entrenched ESPs unless all their data is easy to access. Mailchimp is saying Shopify wanted unnecessary data on marketing performance and history. Guessing that your question is the real cause these two are breaking up.

When your prices are exorbitant in the first place...you kinda need to discount. I prefer straightforward pricing that never changes for anyone, at any time, for any reason. In my experience, consistency is kinda nice.

Omnisend is definitely the best option. They are highly rated in Shopify app store and other review sites like G2crowd.

@Walter_Manning Personal Discount can add your Shopify customers to a selected list in Mailchimp. Naturally, only those who opt-in for marketing emails.

Additionally, you will gain a possibility to send a unique discount code to welcome your new customers.

The app is available here: https://apps.shopify.com/personal-discount
