connecting square with Shopify

why will it not let me connect thee two together ? I talked to square and they said the is a thing that you can do to except payments

Thank you for getting in touch with your question. Square is not a payment gateway that integrates directly with Shopify, meaning you cannot connect a Square account to your Shopify store directly. We do offer integrations with a wide variety of other gateways, which you can view here. Clicking on the country you reside in will provide you with a list of all gateways that integrate with Shopify directly for merchants in your region.
