Hi

If you follow section 6 you need to whitelist your oauth url -

https://help.shopify.com/en/api/tutorials/build-a-shopify-app-with-node-and-react/embed-your-app-in-...

Its on one of the images

Did  you solve this? I had a similar issue. I made a mistake on the variables from the .env file and the server.js:

.env

SHOPIFY_API_SECRET_KEY="xxxxx"
SHOPIFY_API_KEY="zzzzz"

server.js

const { SHOPIFY_API_SECRET_KEY, SHOPIFY_API_KEY } = process.env;

Mine weren't named the same.

White listed url

From memory, the sample code produces the wrong URL. If you check the URL and set it to the correct white listed url then it all works.

i.e. when you see this. Look at the url.

https://monosnap.com/file/FR6HPfjwACRY8RPVWa51pfTyBnVxXg

I think just the start of the url is wrong, and you just need to delete it. I forget the fine details.

OAuth code

Also when you get the OAuth code back, as pointed by others, save it in your .env
