Klarna API test credentials are not configurable for each merchant, but your live credentials would be configured based on your merchant-specific Klarna contract. You can review the regional payment options at the Klarna demo store: https://www.klarna.com/demo
Regional specific payment options and fees are documented on our website: klarna.com
(For the US, the payment option is 4 installments.)
I still have some questions:
When the user chose the Klarna payment method, do they have to create an account with Klarna?
What happens with the user credit score, is there a credit check?
Who manages and monitors all merchant transactions? Klarna or my payment gateway?
How do Refunds work based on each of the 3 payment options?

Regarding merchant transactions for Klarna orders placed in a Shopify store, the merchant continues to do all their order management within the Shopify store admin, and the Klarna Payments integration on Shopify will update the Klarna order data based on the Shopify updates, as documented at: https://x.klarnacdn.net/plugins/Klarna%20Payments%20on%20Shopify%20-%20Merchant%20Guide.pdf

Since Klarna Payments integration is an alternative payment method integration for Shopify, Shopify limits Klarna Payments, and all alternative payments methods, to

You can also do this through most gateways with a private app, splitting up the payment into installments or a reoccuring basis, then expire it when done.
To remain compliant with Shopify you are pushing to full amount base into your store so they get their % .. but then your installments come out of the schedule that is set up.
We did this for https://www.ddpyoga.com for certain products and worked with Shopify Partner support to make sure it was done according to their rules.

But you need a gateway/installments processor system to work, like Klarna , Afterpay, Square, Four, Splitit, Affirm, Sezzle, QuadPay and others.
The Parcelamento - Installments app works with all of them if you don't charge interest.
