Any chance that it might be possible to select multiple orders on the orders overview page and then have a 'print' option from the drop down menu in the same way that we can select 'open' or 'close' now?
It is a small pain (huge pain) having to go into each order to print, would so love to be able to do a bulk 'fulfill' in this way too but I do understand why fulfill might not be an option for this...cheers!
I was thinking of putting together a little app to do this.
What i'm wondering is - is it enough to be able to do a bulk print of invoices and packing slips such as the ones you get from pixelprinter, or would it be necessary to output a page of address labels that would print onto Avery label sheets as well?
I think I can do the first part easily enough. Right now I'm teaching myself how to programmically generate PDF files that you could print onto the Avery label sheets.
Maybe I'll start off with bulk printing pixelprinter style documents, and add the label functionality later on.
Bulk fulfillment should be easy enough, too. Would it be alright if I e-mail you to ask a couple of questions about the process you go through when fulfilling orders? That way, I can make sure I design the app in a way that makes it as easy and convenient as possible for people to use.
Hi Claire! You may want to have a look at ordercup. It integrates flawlessly and does all you are asking for and more. It really is a timesaver and makes up quickly for the app fee of 10-20 dollars per month. http://ordercup.com
I think the simpler the better, I want to bulk print orders onto plain pages, I'd love to bulk mark orders as fulfilled and i'd love to print just addresses onto sheets of avery labels, ie, a sheet with maybe 21 labels on it, I'm not looking to use those pages with a peelable label section at the bottom, I find those expensive!
The fulfillment thing is simple for me, I just want to be able to check multiple tick boxes and then choose 'fulfil' from the drop down menu, i don't have a complicated shipping method with tracking etc, so you might need to speak to someone who uses all the options, to see if your app would work for them, but I'm happy to answer and email if it helps.
@Jamie - thank you. I'll look into that, I had convinced myself that Order cup wasn't suitable for me as I am in UK and don't use UPS, Fed Ex or USPS, (I use Royal Mail)I just want plain labels without shipping bumph. I will explore it further.
I believe you can custom print the label the way you want. They also have great support so it may be worth an email to see what they can do for your particular situation. I had to have them add a feature for a client and they did it in less than 3 weeks.
If you're still interested, I've got my app working, and generating Avery labels in PDF format from shop orders. Are the 21/labels per sheet the most useful ones for you? I just need to add templates for the different Avery label formats and polish the UI a bit before it's ready to deploy.
I realize you may have already found a solution in Ordercup...but I figure having more options available is always good. :)
I am also very interested in that solution to generate labels in PDF.
Where do i pay? ;-)
My shop is selling to EU market and after having received a mail from Order Cup saying :
Sorry at this time, we only support shipping from the US to any destination worldwide. We do not currently support packages originating outside the US, although it is in our future plans.
there is no easy solution for me.
@Ryan any update on your side?
