APP INTEGRATION SOLD OUT EMAILS ON VARIANTS

Hello i want to install an app that gives customers an opportunity to enter their email to be notified when a SOLD OUT product is back in stock. Apparently my current theme on variant listings wont allow you to select sold out variants... so the APP cannot work. Can someone please direct me on how to fix this?

The two variants you selected are IN STOCK... please refer to the 4XL and 5XL variants which are out of stock.. they are not selectable... i need them to be selectable for the APP to work.
