Hi Guys , i think i've cheched all the previous threads but i didn't find a solution for this issue:
i want to add a gif to my product page without making it redirect to giphy or to other sites. I tried to upload it in shopify settings section called Files, but it says "The uploaded image is corrupt and cannot be processed."
Could you help me please?

This is an accepted solution.
I think this video might be helpful https://youtu.be/8sgtEkNvw3M?t=550 (start from 9:10)
Basically, if you have a gif file on your computer, just go to your theme > Customize, choose your Product page and file somewhere you can upload the gif, just like in the video.
In case your gif is corrupted, you might try this tool https://ezgif.com/repair
I, personally, use this tool very often for my gif.
Hope that helps ;)
Hi,
I found a fix to the file being too big, also saves you having to resize and lose all your quality! Use the website above (https://ezgif.com/)
Just simply convert the gif to MP4 video then BACK to a GIF and it'll uncorrupt the file AND not be a humongous file size!
Hope this works
I have spent approximately 30-40 hours over the past week trying to figure out a way to upload a video to my slider on the home page and product pages.
Luckily I came across your suggestion your article in Shopify's Community Discussion.
Uploading MP4 files into ezgif.com worked great!
I was very close to giving up on using video.
THANK YOU!
PS. What I don't understand is how does ezgif.com makes money off this site.
the solution is too easy guys skip the mp4 to gif conversion thing go to
2. upload the current gif
3. in the repair method option choose " reset color tables "
4. Bam you got yourself a normal gif with 0-5% file size increase!
Enjoy!
