Adding additional colour variants to existing products

Hi there, 

I'm going a bit crazy with this.  I'm working on a site that has two sizes of dog collars (small, medium) with various colours of each.  They have all been set up with two options, size and colour however they now want to add an additional colour and I cannot figure out how to easily do this.  I saw one forum article that said to delete the existing colours and start again which I've done but now when I try to add all of the colours, it is telling me I can only add one. 

Basically is there any way to easily add another colour option to a variant as everything I've tried has failed.

sorry for that shopify admin doesnt't allow to customizatin option

but it's not any issue can you try again you have add multiper colors if not so please contact shopify support tea,
