Adding an image to a single collection page - Brooklyn

Hello,

I am looking for a bit of advice with adding an image to one particular collection page of my website with the Brooklyn theme.

I am not sure which part of the liquid I need to amend in order to do this. I don't have a background in coding however I have embedded images on the homepage of my website using some basic HTML which I've learned.

Would someone be able to give me some advice as to how I can achieve this?

Thank you very much

Hey Isaac,

Are you trying to display the "Collection" image as a some sort of banner on the collection page?

I see you've assigned collection images to the respective collections - https://bisoucouleur.com/collections/, all four of your collections have an image.

Or are you trying to add a different image to a collection page?

A very simple solution for you would be to edit the Snippets/collection-template.liquid file and include the following code under the pagination (or in the location you need):

{% if collection.handle == 'accessoires' %}
<img src="//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1924/0141/collections/accessoires_grande.jpg?v=1500113442"/>
{% endif %}

I've used a collection and image you already have on the site as an example. Change it as you need of course.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Alexandru,

Again, really appreciate your time, thank you so much.

Just wanted to get some clarification on soemthing. Would you mind confirming what you mean by 'under the pagination'? Excuse my ignorance.

Again, thank you very much.

Hey Isaac,

I mean below this line :

{% endpaginate %}

But this is up to you where you want to include that image.

I would also suggest making a copy of the theme and test your code on that copy instead of the live/main theme. Once you are happy with changes, just apply the changes to the main theme.

How would you do this same task in the debut theme? I tired to follow these steps and with the different theme nothing happened.
