Adding image to footer

Hi, I would like to add an image to my footer (of a group I am affiliated with) and am trying to figure out where to put the code in my theme.liquid file and to make sure this code is correct. I am using the Minimal theme. Here is the code I am using:

<img src="LIBA_Logo_Member3x2.jpg" alt="LIBA" />

I added it to my code already, but I just get a small thumbnail tag that doesn't show the image (see http://www.louisvillevintage.com)

Thank you!!

Hi Jeana,

The code is right, just what's between the quotes isn't. You need to upload the picture to the web somewhere and get the URL link for the image and put it between the quotes. Like this:

This is a cat picture.
<img src="http://animalia-life.com/data_images/cat/cat6.jpg"; alt="Cat Picture" />

If you go to your settings section in your admin there is a files tab. I would suggest uploading the image there and getting the link for it. This will keep it with the rest of your site files.

Then just paste the link between the quotes in the code and you should be up and running.

I hope this helps,

Nathan

How do you add an image to a footer using the Debut theme? And where do you put the code?

This is so wrong. 90% of your online support files are wrong. Totally wrong.

There is no place to add code or images in the footer. The only options are "menu" "text" or "Newsletter." That's it. Why do you ALWAYS put out incorrect information??????

He coded it in, not through the method you're talking about.

Hi Nathan,

I did this and it worked. Thank you. It is super tiny though. Do you know how I can make a bit bigger? I already tried adjusting the file size and reuploading it to the Shopify files but it still shows up tiny.

Wow. Hey ProMedia, maybe you should actually try what they suggest FIRST before just tearing into people because his method does work.
