BROOKLYN THEME: Change menu text color without affecting slideshow

I need to change the universal menu bar text color without changing the slideshow text color or heading elements. I know that in the brooklyn theme, these two are tied together for some reason.

Would love any guidance on how to do this!

Hi,

If you want to change menu text color then you can by following:

1. Add this css in your asset->theme.scss file.

.site-nav li a {
    color: gray;
}

Let me know if you can't find or change.

Hi @Jasoliya, thanks for your suggestions. I had the same problem and implemented your solution, which worked great on the desktop version of the site. Unfortunately however, on the mobile version the menu is still 'hidden', presumably because the text colour is still white (as I can still tap the hamburger menu even without seeing it and the navigation shows up).

Would you have a solution to force the menu text on the mobile version of the site to be black as well? Thanks a lot!

Hi @Jasoliya

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately the solution did not result in the desired effect. However I found out that changing the CSS in slideshow.liquid was effective. I basically changed

          .hero--color-{{ forloop.index0 }} .site-nav__link {
            color: {{ block.settings.slide_text_color }};
       }

to

          .hero--color-{{ forloop.index0 }} .site-nav__link {
            color: {{ block.settings.color_headings }};
       }
for those with the same issue!
