Due tot the fact my last post was marked as spam, we give it another go.
We would like to have banners on our collection pages ( Different banners on different pages ) after 9 products, so it would be
9 products - banner - 9 products - banner and so on. ( store is iwantproof.de )
This is what we have so far, but these are the wrong pictures ( this picture is the collection.image pic )
We've uploaded the pictures to the collection description, but we can't figure out how to get them on the page ( which command prompt to use )
( these images are uploaded to the cdn as Collection_breaks_filname.jpg )
At this point this how the code looks like :
We don't have any communication anymore with the theme developer and we would like to solve this issue and we hope
that someone can help us out or can give us an idea what to look for.
thanks a bunch
For that you must have knowledge of html and liquid,
because you have to get image from collection description and set in your place on page.
You can find <img> tag in collection description and use them.
thank you for the reply, we have something like that in the code.
We've tried to do something through the lifestyle- extra command but that didn't work, instead we got a bigger picture on the page.
It's probably a minor thing that we can't see / figure out.
We've tried several things but nothing has the desired result.
And our knowledge is pure basic.
It depends on the number of products that are in the collection so if we have 18 products in the collection it would be two
banners ( one after 9 products and one after 18 products ) and if we have 10 products it would be one banner.
The images are below the optinal collection description ( so we will put the images in each collection below the description as shown in
the second picture in my first post )
I am sorry to say, but I am not sure you can do it yourself, even will be instructions here, because the developer should look into the theme and add this new functionality.
The way to achieve this is the following.
You are adding your images into collection description section, then in code we grab this description and split it into an array of images... that is the first step, so we have an array of image.
The second step is edit the product loops section and load the images from the array we have created every 9 products.
That's how I see the solution.
It is about an hour work.
