Boundless theme transparent logo

Hey guys just started using the boundless theme. All good but my logo at the top is small with a white box. I can't seem to upload a logo with no white background. 

My question is can the white box be removed and logo made bigger?

If not, I'm happy to have a white bar running across (to hide the white box). How would I put a white bar in?

@Newshorewatchco - you need to remove white background and save image as PNG, then you can have transperent logo. Otherwise need css settings to put white bar on header

You can use this web app to remove the white background. It's Adobe and its a free tool, so you can trust it.

make sure to save it as a PNG and upload that file.
