Change "view all" link on homepage's Featured Collection section.

On my homepage, under the "Featured Collection" section, there is a "view all" button that links to another page with only that collection's products listed (see attached image).   I would like to change this link to a page to view all my products in every section.

In addition, is there a simple way to add a button/link to any desired section or location on my site?

Hey, Spierce!

My name is Alex, I'm a guru here at Shopify!

It's difficult to give an exact answer without knowing what theme you're using, but in general you've two options; looking for ways to change that in your theme's customization options, or changing it via your theme's code.  If it can be changed in the settings, then you should be able to find it by going in your admin to online store > themes, clicking on the 'customize' button, and then clicking on the section in your theme you'd like to alter.

If you're not able to find anything there, there's always the possibility of customizing your theme's code to point that where you'd like - if this is a Shopify-made theme, I'd be happy to take a look into this for you!  I'll send you an email out after I've posted this response, just respond to that with your theme's name and I'll get to work on this for you, and if it's beyond my capabilities we can always reach out to our experts on the theme team!

As for the link, that's something that would be easier to create than a button; you would create this by using this syntax:

<a href="https://DESTINATIONURL.com/">Text you would like to appear</a>

Once created, you could then insert this anywhere you'd like in your site; this may take some trial and error, but it's absolutely doable.  If you'd like, respond to that email with more details of what you'd like to appear and where, and I'd be happy to advise on how best to get that done!

Hope that's helped!  Please feel free to let me know, and you can always give us a call or start a live chat at any time.  We're open 24/7 for your convenience and always happy to assist!

Cheers,

Hey Spierce, I just looked into this one yesterday on my Debut theme and got a workaround without having to add a new button. All I did was what Alex suggested basically, changing the destination of that button to a different page.

I went to edit code > sections > collection.liquid

Around line 53 you should see "{% if section.settings.show_view_all %}" That is where you want to be. Right under that you will see an href reference pointing towards somewhere. Change that to the exact destination you want for your entire catalog, for me it was the following.

<a href="https://valley-uprising.com/collections/all" class="btn">

Hope that helps

@gofuturefresh I recently did this in on the Debut theme. Here's what you have to do:

1) Locate the collection.liquid code

2) Here, you should find a line of code that looks like this:

<a href="{{ collection.url }}" class="btn" aria-label="{{ 'collections.general.view_all_label' | t: collection_name: collection.title }}">
{{ 'collections.general.view_all' | t }}
</a>

3) Replace {{ 'collections.general.view_all' | t }} with your text

How do I send the customer to all products collection page after clicking the view all on home page? I want to keep best sellers collection as the products showing on my home page but when they click view all, I want to send them to all products and not just the best seller collection.

Hello,

First you need to find the include-featured-collection.liquid File in Turbo Theme.

Then after   js-product-slider div add the blow container div.

I have done similar thing for the turbo theme, with this code.

<div class="Container text-center">
      <h4><a href="{{ collections[settingCollection].url }}" class="Button Button--primary">View All</a></h4>
    </div>

 I have added in the collections loop for the feature collections.

Here is the CSS for Button.

a.Button.Button--primary {
    //background-color: transparent;
	background-color: #5600e3;
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    color: #ffffff;
    box-shadow: none;
    line-height: 1.2;
    padding: 10px;
    min-height: 44px;
    height: 100%;
    border-radius: 10px;
}

Here you can take a look : https://pyrogabe.de/ on home page.

It works both with grid and slider view of the sections.

Hi Owen

I'm using Debut theme and tried this but alas it is not working.

I am using Featured Collection on homepage and want to have it when you click View All it goes to my entire shop url rather than just the collection.

For some reason your suggestion doesn't work. Is it because I'm using Featured Collection rather than 'Collection List' section? If so I cannot find Featured Collection under Sections in code.

Can you help?
