Change variant pick based on picture (mockup) selected

Hi 

I am using Motion theme. 

Current I can change the variants (color T-shirt) by clicking on the variant labels (see picture) 

However, I want to also have it, that when people click on the pictures of the variants - that it automatically picks the correct variant. 
As you can see in the picture, I clicked the blue T-shirt and it still says black on the variant picker. 

How would I have to do that - so that people don't on accident by a different color than what they had selected by clicking on the mockups but forgetting to click the variant.

Hi 

It's when you click the mockups that the variant doesn't change. 

So you click the grey sweater, icon/mockup on the left. then then the variant picker doesn't change with. 

So I click the grey sweater and it still stays on the black text.

is this more clear ?
