I am as new at this as new gets, so please forgive me for the basic question. I have read as many posts about this as I can find, but I'm still lost.
I'm using the District theme and I need to create a collection (photo) within a collection. Example: Home page has six collection photos, click on one of those and it opens a new page with the subset of collection photos (Drivetrain Parts>CV Joints, Wheel Bearings, Etc.>product page). Hopefully that makes sense. I do not want a drop-down box or an expanded "list" of collections. I'm looking to have a clickable collection photo on the second page just like on the home page.
I have followed the directions on this tutorial (https://community.shopify.com/c/Shopify-Design/Collection-Feature-a-subset-of-collections-on-a-page/...), but I seem to be doing something wrong. I am confident that I did the coding correctly (I have redone it several times, all with the same results), but I think I'm missing something really basic because I simply can't seem to make it work. If someone could help me figure this out, I would be grateful. Thank you!
Okay, so I guess maybe I either didn't ask the right questions or maybe I wasn't clear about the issue. So let me start with the basics.
For the District theme, does the tutorial in the link below work to allow a collection within a collection?
And if so, does it provide a new page of collection images when you click on the home page collection? Or, does it only provide a collection list at the left of the page?
