Customer sees a product variant image instead of main image on the product page

Hi guys,

Maybe this is nitpicking slightly, but I still thought I'd ask.

This is my main image of a product I am selling. This is the image that is visible in the collections page that represents the product:

 

However, when you go to the actual product page, you see a product image of one of the variants, rather than that image above:

Is it possible to choose which image the customer sees when they enter the product page? I would like it to be the same main image that is visible on the collections page, rather than an image of one of the variants.

My only guess without seeing your website, does your variant have a image selected on your product creation? i.e. does your pictures switch based on the variant chosen?

if so, that might be the case. Where your variant image is shown because your first variant is pre-selected

Indeed, I suspected that this would be the reason. Just wondering if it's possible to have an image attached to all variants and also use the main photo as the first image the customer sees at the same time. Maybe there is a way to make it that no variant is selected by default when the customer looks at the product page?
