Customizing Products with Notes Section

I have already updated my customized.product.liquid to include a PERSONALIZED section (customers type in what name they want). However, I also want to add a notes section. I won't need the PERSONALIZED and NOTES on every product though. How can I add the NOTES section to EVERY product without messing up the code for the PERSONALIZED section.
