Debut Theme - Removing Color from Image Overlay Removes Font Settings

In the Debut theme, when I remove the background color from the Image Overlay option, all the font settings are removed from the theme.

When I select a color to add to the Image Overlay and resave, my font options come back.

Do you know a way to stop this from happening? Image attached.

you have to use background image then you you remove - make it none selection so your tet are visible properly.
