Enable Header Overlay Mr Parker Theme

Hello,

I've downloaded the trial version of Mr. Parker theme.  I am trying to create a full bleed image effect of the first gallery image, so that both the header and the announcement bar overlay the first slide.  I've selected "enable header overlay" as Mr. Parker's documentation shows, but the announcement bar does not have that option and is still showing as a white bar above the image, even with background color set to none. 

Anyone know if this can be achieved in Mr. Parker without coding changes?  And what setting needs to be adjusted?

Thank you for reaching out to our theme support!
Our theme documentation has not yet been updated to reflect the latest version of the theme. Unfortunately, the latest version does not support the announcement bar to hover over the slide image only the header section itself.

So I switched back to Brooklyn Theme.  Are you able to help with any of the following?
