Hi @phxllip

Probably that's because you have too many apps installed.
What's the reason to disable the 'inspect element' browser feature? Any way people can view your code. And this is one more app that slows down your store speed.

The correct store name is

photifyco.myshopify.com

why dont you show the pwd to see it? Instead loading thru the 'preview' is slower than the real site.

2MB for

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0403/6850/4984/files/tree_gif.gif

is extremely high, use a smaller size / file size image.

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0403/6850/4984/t/9/assets/preloaderapp_720x.gif

is 333KB,   mmm

Reduce all the apps like above said too. Simple neat and fast.

And still installing then removing an app usually leaves bloat code behind in the theme even once its gone. So have a look too.

As little apps as needed + smallest filesizes as possible + not having webpages with too many sections all helps.

Hey @dan888 the thing is, i analyzed with GMetrix and got a score of 86% performance and speed. Which i assume isn't very bad. But i don't know why the slideshow and images keep lagging and loading blurry before they load clear.

Just use as minimal number of apps as necessary, look for the old code that is there from previously installed apps.

Use the smallest file sizes you can ( without making pictures pixelated ).

Remember depending on the niche, over 60% of all traffic to a website is mobile these days so you dont need 5000x5000px sized images.

Then we'll look at what else is effecting your speed. GTMetrix 86 is a good starting position.

Alot can effect page load speed, get the above done first.

google-soasta-research-pageload-bounce.png

For every second longer the pages takes to load, the more people don't bother and leave ( bounce ), and this is from 2017 !!

Also the pictures load 'blurry' then clear is shopifys lazyload. Instead of showing blank then the images loaded, it uses the blurry as like a placeholder. Google lazyload.

What theme are you using? Not all themes are created equal. 'Turbo' theme is one of may that markets itself as fast loading, Empire is good too.

Lessen the number of slides will help too = less to load

@dan888 I also spent the day optimizing all the images, might have missed some and the lagging still persists. Some it run smoothly then when i reload the lagging comes back

There is lag cause it loads a iframe from powr,

then theres a covet pics slider,

Why not use / write these simple sliders / galleries into Shopify?

Vimeo, well, better than YT.

The page speed isn't terrible, depends on what internet the visitor has. But there is lag coming from those external servers for those sections here too.
