Footer Area Is Too Big

I am using the debut theme and my footer is way too spacey. Is there a way to make it smaller? It's a whole section by itself.

Do you mean by the width? Or the amount of items in it?

Hello and thank you for responding... I'm guessing the width... The footer area is almost as big as a full section so I guess the height and width. Just to give an idea of what it looks like..... Example below:

the spaces in between are a great deal wider.. It's like if it were possible I could add images and such if that makes any sense...
