Footer design - spacing Prestige

Hello,

I am using PRESTIGE theme and I have a problem with the footer. It is a lot thicker than I would like it to be. There is too much space between lines and it doesn't look very polished.

My question is: how do I reduce the size of spacing between lines and also, how do I add more columns to the footer so it looks nicer? I would like to add more info to the footer but since it is only making it longer, I can't really do it otherwise I am gonna end up with a huge footer.

my website is: www.brylover.cz

Thanks for your help.

You can edit this with CSS.

I would do something like this:

.Footer__Content Rte p {
  margin-bottom: 8px;
}

That will look like this:

To add more columns, first check your Customize theme section. If you can't edit it there, next step is to find the code that controls your footer and see how it's structured, then add another column block.

Do all this on a backup theme so you don't affect your live site while working / testing.

If you're not familiar editing theme code you can either contact me or my team (speedboostr.com/contact), or check this guide to learn how to inspect elements like I did above and edit your Shopify theme: https://speedboostr.com/how-to-safely-edit-your-shopify-theme/

It will work if you add to the end of your theme file, but best practice is to add custom CSS in a custom file.

It's better organized and it won't get overwritten when you update your theme.

That guide I shared will show you how to add CSS to a custom file.

I don't think it's working. Could it be that I am doing something wrong? I tried both ways and it still lookes too wide? And on my macbook pro, there are just two columns and not three, I can see three columns only on wider desktop monitor.

@Roxanne26 - i think your footer is using bootsreap with 3 columns hence this spacing, there are few css tricks to reduce space which will work for now, can you share site link?
