Hello communtiy!

Please have a look at the screenshot. My footer menu text has a large space between the Menu Title and this is causing it to be misaligned with the newsletter text? Can someone please suggest how to fix this? I have a feeling it is very simple.

Any suggestions please? I am wondering if this is a theme specific issue.

Hello, here you go. You will see this code on your theme assets folder stylesheet.css file.

#footer-wrapper ul {
    list-style: none;
    margin-top: 30px;
}

Just remove the second line (margin-top: 30px;) and hit save. Then it will solve your issue. Don't forget to accept my reply as a solution if this work!

The post above is on the right track. The Testament theme doesn't have a "stylesheet.css" file so you'll be looking for one very close to it: "stylesheet.css.liquid".

Once you find that file in your theme search for "footer-wrapper ul". That will jump you down to that section in the code (somewhere around line 3400 or so). Instead of deleting the line I'd suggest commenting it out, just in case you want to add it back later.

So make it look like this:

#footer-wrapper ul {
  list-style: none;

  /* line commented out below to reduce padding above the links */
  /* margin-top: 30px; */
}

If you're not feeling very confident about editing the code be sure to make a copy of the theme first. It's risky editing the live theme so take suitable precautions.

Hey @Jason , we all know Shopify theme files extension is .liquid. But it was my mistake that I forgot to mention .liquid. But I think he understood my solution.

Mistakes happen and I've made plenty in my time.

However, expect others to add feedback when they are spotted since we want the advice here to correct. Don't take it personally.
