Free Text Variants

We offer custom laser engraving. I need to add a variant with free text so they can tell us what they want laser engraving. I just can't work it out. Does anyone have an easy step by step guide??

Add the following code inside your <form> elements on the Product template page:

<p class="line-item-property__field">
  <label for="your-personal-message">Your Laser Engraving Message</label>
  <textarea id="your-personal-message" name="properties[Your Laser Engraving Message]"></textarea>
</p>

You can generate different properties based on these requirements here: Line Item Property – Shopify UI Elements Generator (myshopify.com)
