Header link opening in new window when it shouldn't

Hi guys, 

My first post here so please go steady on me. 

I have added a SHOP NOW button to a header section on this client website, the theme doesn't allow for any settings within the "link" panel to open a new window, so I am struggling to understand why it is opening a new window?

Looks like the "Shop Now" button has an attribute target="_blank" inside, if you remove the attribute from the link HTML, it should no open a new window. Hope it helps, let me know if you have any questions.

I'm actually adding the link using the selection options within the panel though and not adding it manually?

I would be find with the link as you say but not sure the client will be able to do the code each time they want to change its destination
