Help Replacing Logo with SVG Image Minimal Theme

I've looked through a handful of posts on this subject and can't get anything to work.  Everything comes up blank.

I have uploaded the SVG file titled logo to my assets folder.

I've changed logo.png to logo.svg in the following code and all I get is a blank spot where the logo should be.  Any suggestions?

I'm using Minimal theme no sections.

Here's my unedited code before changing .png to .svg

<!-- Begin wrapper -->
  <div id="transparency" class="wrapper">
    <div class="row">
      <!-- Begin right navigation -->
      {% if settings.navigation_alignment == "right" %}
      <div class="row" id="header">
        <div class="span12 border-bottom">
          <div class="span4 inner-left logo-wrapper">
            <div class="logo">
              {% if settings.use_logo %}
              <a href="/"><img src="{{ 'logo.png' | asset_url }}" alt="{{ shop.name }}" /></a>
              {% if template == 'index' %}
              <h1 style="display:none"><a href="/">{{ shop.name }}</a></h1>
              {% endif %}
              {% else %}
              <h1><a href="/">{{ shop.name }}</a></h1>
              {% endif %}
            </div>
          </div>

          <section id="nav">
            <div class="span8 inner-right">
              <nav class="main">
                {% include 'site-nav' %}
              </nav>
            </div>
          </section>
        </div>
      </div>
      {% endif %}
      <!-- End right navigation -->

      <!-- Begin below navigation -->
      {% if settings.navigation_alignment == "below" %}
      <div class="span12 clearfix">
        <div class="logo">
          {% if settings.use_logo %}
          <a href="/"><img src="{{ 'logo.png' | asset_url }}" alt="{{ shop.name }}" /></a>
          {% if template == 'index' %}
          <h1 style="display:none"><a href="/">{{ shop.name }}</a></h1>
          {% endif %}
          {% else %}
          <h1><a href="/">{{ shop.name }}</a></h1>
          {% endif %}
        </div>
      </div>

@KetanKumar

Yea no thanks.  I pay Shopify enough money and they don't provide the basics, everything has to be customized.  And I'm not looking for answers from people advertising their services either that seems to be the default reply from "Shopify Partners" about everything, buy this app or hire me.  It's annoying and not helpful.
