Hiding variant thumbnail images in Empire theme

Hi,

I have products with many-colored variants and all the images linked to the variants of my products appear on the bottom of the product page. I would like to hide the main variant photos from the product page and show those photos for each selected variant.

I've searched for different codes but couldn't find any working code for the Empire theme from Pixel Union.

I've attached a screenshot to show how my product page looks like now. For this product, for example, I would like to hide the variant thumbnails below the product but keep showing those images for each selected variant. The link for the product is:

This guy has a pretty solid tutorial on this. It may not be for your theme, but the premise is the same:

It was solid but in this tutorial, the guy is working on the Debut theme. Unfortunately, my code families are different in the Empire theme so I couldn't find the same option lines.
