so it seems there are several members who are not happy with there choice, maybe shopify can start a thread about this issue ? It would be appreciated if there was any update on the sections issue.

Thanks

Hello Rosrav -

Much gratitude for the time it took you to figure out, create the post and disseminate it.

I am not a code hound by any means, but have been in tech for a couple of decades and know my way around it.  Would it be possible to ask several more follow up questions on your post, break it down even farther, and possibly create a more detailed post?  At the moment, folks like myself, and anyone whom has less expertise, is going to have issues implementing this.  E.g. things like "where is the schema?", "where do I cut and paste this? " , etc.,

Thanks sir.

Hi there,

Thank you for the kind words.

These past months I've been wondering whether I should go into more detail about how I handle these things and maybe set it up using a theme like Debut, so that everyone can follow along if they'd like.

I'd be happy to answer any follow-up questions you have, but I think it might be easier if I post the update here in a couple of days and then further improve it based on your feedback. But if you want, feel free to ask all the questions now - then I can incorporate them from the beginning.

Hey Liam,

Hope you're doing good.

I was trying to implement the Image-Bar section to another page, however it shows a JSON error that I can't figure out on my own ... here is the Schema code I modified.

{% schema %}
{
  "name":
   "fr": "Galerie",
  "class": "index-section index-section--flush",
  "max_blocks": 4,
  "settings": [
    {
      "type": "select",
      "id": "section_height",
      "label":
        "fr": "Hauteur de la section",
      "default": "medium",
      "options": [
        {
          "label":
            "fr": "Très petite",

          "value": "x-small"
        },
        {
          "label":
            "fr": "Petite",

          "value": "small"
        },
        {
          "label":
            "fr": "Moyenne",

          "value": "medium"
        },
        {
          "label":
            "fr": "Grande",

          "value": "large"
        },
        {
          "label":
            "fr": "Très grande",

          "value": "x-large"
        }
      ]
    }
  ],

Absolute shocker Shopify! Might as well have used Wordpress and attached plugins to create a cart. I am very disappointed, as this is obviously intentionally done for whatever reason by Shopify as the only way this would make sense is if it benefits your company financially.

I would try filling out the "name" and "label" fields inside your block settings. I've had examples where it didn't like those empty.

Hi, I feel like I'm going a little crazy.

I've managed to add one section to my page but struggling to add a second (third and fourth etc.) to the page.

Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

Thank you!

I feel exactly as you do and need to do exactly what you need to do, I don't get how could it NOT be this way... I just spent 180 on a template which only has a pretty homepage and nothing else I can customize adding sections... how crazy is that!?!?

I have the Motion theme as well and I don't have Sections anywhere other than the Home Page. Can you clarify if you used another App or if you customized code?

Hi,

I just bought Luna Theme $180 and I felt the same pain.

All I want is to have the sections in all pages not spending additional for apps.

This question was post year 2017 and till 2020 this feature is not implemented.

Now new plan and new theme but unable to continue new pages. Nothing else I can do.

Is there any ways for me to have al the sections in new pages?

Is really a trap.

Please help.

Thank you
