How do I add a search bar for Express Theme?

Hi! I'm just very new to Shopify and trying to know the basics. But it seems that there is no search bar for the Express Theme. Can somebody please help?

As you can see, there is no simple search bar at the header like other templates. It is however, at the bottom. But from a UX standpoint, it's not very helpful.

Do I have to install a third-party app for that? Or can it be done by simple coding?
