How do I make the menu look like it does in the demo?

We're trying to make the menu look like the first photo, but no matter what we do it ends up looking like the second. How do we fix this? Is it code?

I'm not sure what theme you are using, but you need to activate either the Mega Menu or Multi-Column Menu option. In you theme editor, go to the header section and look to see if one of these options is there.
