How do i remove the search icons and function from brooklyn theme?

Hello all,

I tried a few methods to add in code to remove the search icon, however when I scoll over my mouse to the spot, the empty space is still clickable to search even though the search icon is not there.

How do I completely remove the function of search?

1. Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code
2. Asset->theme.scss->paste bellow code in bottom of file

.js-toggle-search-modal{display:none;}

Hello, 

I have used this code however it hasn't made any changes to the search function? I wish to completely remove the search icon as well as the function - I do not want people to be able to hover over it. Would there be any chance you could possibly assist me with this? I want the changes to be permanent for any device and on all pages. Thank you for your time today!
