How to change title separator in Shopify?

To Whom It may concern,

I need to change my site title separator. At the moment, it is set up on (-) and I want to change and have every page with the following separator (|) 

Is there any way how I can automise that? In Yoast is very easy while I can't find a way in Shopify.

You should check  the file theme.liquid in your theme. In the head section there will be code that sets the page title for the current page and it will probably append the store name with an 

–

somewhere in there. Change – to your preferred separator and you should be all set.

What is the code for the vertical line separator once you have located the "&ndash"?   Still a novice and the code portion.

It was meant literally. Change "–" with "|" in your theme.liquid file and your meta titles will update accordingly
