in my Shop i have a lot of variants in different sizes and colors. On my product page i have duplicated pictures like this http://prntscr.com/qs8rti
But these are not all the pictures of this product. This products is available in 5 different sizes and 10 different colors. But each picture is "only" two times in the picture list.
So why are there duplicate pictures and how can i remove them?

@RoseMR It's to do with the way you have added the variant images. Don't use the 'Add Image' route when setting up variant images that are the same e.g. Black but different sizes. If you do, Shopify thinks it is a different image. You need to select the existing image you want to use for the selected variant (as per the black watering can in my image) and then hit Done.
And this is how to do it more than one at a time
This is an accepted solution.
Ah I see, not 100% certain but yes I would think so. Best bet would be to correct one product manually via Shopify admin, and then do an export of just that product so you can see exactly how Shopify wants you to add the images. Make sense?
Okay it worked.
But the export looks weird. it only has a Image URL for the first two colors with the sizes. http://prntscr.com/qsachu
Which doesn't makes sense cause every color has a picture. I think i'll just try to import a product with only one image for each color.
